Linda A. Mitchell
March of 2006, Linda Mitchell became the CEO and owner of Black and Clark Funeral Home, after having been with the company since 1986. She has been the owner of L.A. Mitchell Memorial Planning Service for the last 26 years. Linda enjoys reading, Bible study, traveling, and her dog “Jo Jo”. She loves to encourage children to do their best in school and gets great enjoyment from their achievements.
Emanuel Pruitt is the Managing Funeral Director in charge and has been with the company since 1961. He is a member of the Local, State, and National Funeral Director’s Associations and holds offices in all three associations.
Gary Clark is the son of the late Otis Clark; grandson of C. J. Clark, founder; and father of Gary Clark, Jr. A licensed Funeral Director, Gary enjoys playing video games with his son and is an avid Bible study student. Gary has been with Black and Clark since 1978.
Mr. Wilson is a Funeral Consultant and has been with Black and Clark since 1958. He enjoys working with children and is instrumental to the Pleasant Grove Broncos. He enjoys fishing and is President of the Advisory Council Board for the City of Dallas.
Ermina Sunday (JoJo)
Ermina Sunday is a Embalmer and a Family Service Pre-need Counselor. She joined our funeral home in June 2008. She is a native of Dallas, Texas.
Theresa has been the loyal and faithful Administrative Assistant to Linda Mitchell since 2005. Theresa is the mother of three, the grandmother of 2 and enjoys relaxing, dancing, and listening to music. Theresa loves Gerald Lavert.
Timothy Hubbard has been a Funeral Attendant for 15 years since he started with Black and Clark at the age of 13 through the mentoring Program at Munger Avenue Baptist Church. He was an employee of the Dallas County Sheriff Department. He enjoys playing golf and basketball.
Mr. Wattley serves as a Senior Consultant to Black and Clark Funeral Homes. His areas of expertise are finance, business development, and strategic selling. He has a Bachelor of Arts from Amherst College, Master of Public and Private Management from Yale School of Organization and Management and a Doctorate of Humane Letters from Paul Quinn College.
Mr. Ben Mitchell is a Family Service Pre-need Counselor and a licensed Insurance Agent with L. A. Mitchell Memorial Planning. He has over ten years of experience counseling families about pre-need insurance and pre-need trust accounts. He also leads seminars on behalf of Black and Clark Funeral Home covering wills and living wills, durable power of attorney, and various types of insurances.
Mr. Mitchell retired from Texas Instruments (TI) as an Engineer. He was with TI for twenty-five years. After TI, he was with Aero Fabricators (as aircraft repair plant) as Manager over Engineering for five years.
Mr. Mitchell is a very active person is church activities on the local, district, city, state, and national level. He is Chairman of Deacons in his local church, President of Brotherhood in the District, and President of (President’s Council) in the National Baptist Convention. He enjoys traveling, reading, and meeting new people.
Carolyn Puyol is a pre-need sales counselor with L. A. Mitchell Memorial Planning. She has over 25 years of experience counseling families about pre-need insurance and pre-need trust accounts. Mrs. Puyol sells mainly for Black and Clark Funeral Home. Mrs. Puyol is a proud mother of 7 children with a host of grandchildren, and great grandchildren. She and her husband enjoy dancing and spending time with her family.
Rodney L. Powell is a native of Dallas, Texas. He is a 1980 graduate of Franklin D. Roosevelt High School in Dallas. He is a licensed Funeral Director and Embalmer with over 30 years of experience. He also is a Pre-need Agent with L. A. Mitchell Memorial Planning. He has over 15 years of experience counseling families about pre-need insurance in Dallas and surrounding counties.
