Canell Thompson was born on February 1, 1950 to the late Agnes Silverburg and Canell Cook in Dallas Texas. He accepted Christ at an early age and was a faithful member of Willow Grove Baptist Church, under the leadership of the late Reverend James Terrell. He attended Dodge City Community College in Dodge City, Kansas. Canell loved sports, especially football, where his favorite team was the “Dallas Cowboys and an avid Bowler for a bowling league.” He was proceeded in death by his son Derek, sister Ima Jean Lee, Bonnie Thompson and Jane Thompson, brothers, Larry Thompson and Vernon Thompson , niece, Felicia Adams.. Left to cherish his memories are his loving wife Peggy Thompson, 2 daughters Angela Thompson and Tonius Lewis, 5 grandchildren, Jordon Thompson, Monche Jackson, Jalyn Wade, Taylor Mcknight, and Logan Mcknight. 2 great grandchildren Zyaire and Kemani, 2sisters, Ave Thompson,Gwen Thompson, 2 brothers Horace Thompson (Charlene), Artis J Thompson, Bill Thompson, Donald Thompson, as well as a host of nieces, nephews and cousins.
