Ms. Ruby, you were a friend to our Mother, Lorisa Coleman, long before any of us knew it. You alone, prevented us from being evicted from housing in 1968. I knew your name because of Mother talking about you and your sweet and kind heart. Thank you for loving others, for caring for others. At DART, after meeting you and benefiting from your love, wisdom and of course you teaching many of us about coupons, Ms. Ruby, You will be missed. Rest easy My Friend.

My dear friend; Ruby; who was always there to lend a helping hand, sharing many cheers of joy to everyone that you knew as well as the many people that you came in contact with. But, now it's time to rest and be at peace. You are truly missed but you will forever be in the hearts of many of us. Ms. Ruby, I will truly miss you. You where a second mother to me. You took care of me when Maurice passed. You called me every day to make sure I was okay. I truly appreciate you and LOVE YOU. We got ourselves in situations and without you being there I may not have made it. But you were always there to calm me and we made it through. Ms. Ruby you will really be missed. Ms. Curry, please accept my sincerest condolences to you and your family at this difficult time. Thank you for introducing me to your sister. I had the pleasure of working with Ms. Daniels on the Signature Verification Committee at Dallas County Elections. She was always pleasant and encouraging to me.
