                                                                      VERTRIC D. BANKS SR.

 

Vertric D. Banks Sr. was born in Dallas, TX, to the union of Mr. Francis Carter and Barbra Jean Banks. A man of many talents and passions, Vertric's life was a testament to his dedication, strength, and love for those around him. As a proud

product of Dallas ISD,

 

Vertric shone as both a football and track star, excelling in sports and displaying an unwavering commitment to excellence. His love for sports was matched only by his deep connection to music. Vertric spent many years rapping and writing songs for various artists, leaving a lasting legacy in the music industry. In addition to his musical talents, Vertric dedicated years of service to the City of Plano in the Sanitation Division, where he worked with pride and dedication.

 

lifelong boxing enthusiast, he approached the sport with passion and determination, always striving to reach the next level of mastery.

 

Vertric was preceded in death by his parents, Mr. Francis Carter and Barbra Jean Banks; his sister, Retrina Banks; and his beloved son, Carrenza D. Johnson.

 

Vertric leaves to cherish his memory his children: Vertric “Ticc” McQueen (son), Daisy M. Emerson-Chappel (Phenol), Jessica Brooks, Vertric Banks Jr., Frances Banks, and Nijha Furr; his siblings: Francis Carter III (Ritha), Quinton Tony Milton (Angie), Temecca Williamson (Reginald), and Brenda Tatum; his grandchildren: Will Walker Jr., Tristian Howell, Jakenya Howard, Symphonie Banks, Geo Banks, Amari Banks, Cailey Johnson, Caydence Johnson, and Janè S. McQueen;

one uncle, Terry Clay Woodson (Kecia); his loyal companion of 6 years, Vonda Outley; and a host of other close relatives and friends.

 

Vertric’s memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew him. His unwavering love for his family, his vibrant passion for life, and his talents that touched so many will continue to inspire and uplift. He will forever be remembered for his

strength, determination, and the love he shared with those around him. Rest in peace, Vertric, your legacy endures!!
