Obituary

Laressa Charlyne Boson, lovingly known as "Peaches," was born on December 29, 1953, in Dallas, Texas, to the late Lawrence Charles Boson and Mittie Bernice Craig Boson. From the moment she entered the world, Laressa brought light and joy to all who knew her. A special child with special needs, she lived a life full of love, creativity, and unwavering sweetness.

Laressa was educated through the Dallas Independent School District's Children’s Development Center. She was a lifelong member of Bethel AME Church and Bethel Memorial Chapel in Dallas, where she was embraced by a caring faith community. As a proud Girl Scout with her mom, Mittie Boson as the GS Leader with the Tejas Girl Scout Council, she enjoyed camping, cook outs, day camps, traveling and making crafts. Peaches and her mom moved to Tyler in 2006, and she carried a spirit of curiosity, kindness, and service throughout her life that remained steadfast with the loving care of her sister, Pam.

Peaches had a deep love for her cherished doll collection and enjoyed crafting beautiful pieces with her hands. Whether stringing beads, weaving potholders, or painting, she expressed herself through art. Her favorite song, "Twinkle, Twinkle Little Star," reflected her own bright presence—gentle, radiant, and constant delight.

Laressa is preceded in death by her beloved parents. She is survived by her devoted sisters Pamela Boson Erwin (Larry J. Erwin), Sandra C. Harden, and Lucille B. Johnson; her aunt, Vivian L. Stanley; nieces and nephews Brandi J. Harden, Stephanie B. Erwin, Larry J. Erwin II (Orissa Rose), Lionel Johnson (Sidney), Lawrence Patrick Johnson( LaTanya), and Angela Johnson (Gary); cousins Ravina McKellar, Nyla Stanley, Delbert Stanley; great niece, Asha Bernice, and a host of extended family and dear friends who will always remember her as a source of unconditional love.

She is now reunited with her parents in eternal rest. Sleep in peace, sweet Peaches. Heaven has truly gained a star.
