Bobbie Anne Turner, 65, was born on July 29, 1960, in Fort Smith, Arkansas, to Robert W. Sneed and Deloris Ann Davis-Calhoun.
At the age of 12, Bobbie Ann was baptized at First Baptist Church in Fort Smith, where her maternal grandparents were faithful members. She also cherished attending Quinn Chapel AME Church, where her paternal grandmother and cousins worshiped.
Affectionately known as “Tiny Baby,” Bobbie Ann began her early education at Howard Elementary and Darby Junior High in Fort Smith. After moving to Dallas, Texas, with her mother and siblings, she attended South Oak Cliff High School. She later lived in Washington, D.C., with her father and stepmother, completing her high school studies at Luke C. Moore. Eventually, she returned to Dallas to further her education and begin building her life.
Bobbie Ann worked for Haynes and Boone LLP for 22 years as a Document Specialist, where she was admired for her dedication and strong work ethic. Outside of her professional life, she enjoyed listening to music, shopping, following politics, and cheering on her beloved Dallas Cowboys. Above all, her greatest joy came from spending time with her children and grandchildren, who were the center of her world.
She will be remembered for her kind spirit, her sense of humor, and the way she made everyone around her feel welcomed and loved. She had a gift for bringing people together, whether through laughter, conversation, or simply her presence. Her strength, resilience, and generosity touched countless lives, and the warmth she shared with family and friends will never be forgotten.
Bobbie Ann was preceded in death by her sister Cassandra Mckell; maternal grandparents, Jack and Johnnie Mae Brown; her paternal grandparents, Taft and Arthurine Price-Sneed; and her great-aunt, Thelma Price.
She is survived by her beloved children, Delontae Sneed, Damon Sneed, and Sharlette N. Sneed; her father, Robert (Darnelle) Sneed; her mother, Deloris Ann Davis-Calhoun; and her siblings, Richard (Dana) Calhoun Jr., Bridgett Calhoun, Ricardo Calhoun, Johnnie Mae Sims, Kamiliah Calhoun, Lisa M. Kelley, Robert W. “Bobby” Sneed Jr., and Sharlette D. Sneed. She also leaves behind her cherished grandchildren, Kameren and Daja Sneed, along with a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends across Arkansas, California, Georgia, Texas, Washington, D.C., and Washington State.
The loss of Bobbie Ann is deeply felt by her family and all who knew and loved her. Her memory will live on in the hearts of everyone she touched.
