Perry Don Wilson was born on May 26, 1931, in Mexia, Texas. In 1954, he moved to Dallas, Texas, where that same year he was united in holy matrimony to Lorene Punch Wilson. To this loving union, five children were born: Carolyn, Pamela, Jerry Don, Daryl Ray, and Lesa.
Perry dedicated 39 years of service to the Dallas Independent School District, where he was known for his strong work ethic, reliability, and commitment to excellence. He took great pride in his work and found joy in fixing anything that was broken—whether it was something mechanical or helping someone in need. His hands were never idle, and his heart was always open to serve.
A devoted husband, father, and man of faith, Perry was a faithful and active member of Safeway Baptist Church, serving honorably as a Deacon. His deep love for God and His Word shaped an unshakable faith and a lifelong commitment to spiritual growth. Perry’s dedication to God, his family, and his church community was the foundation of his life. After 37 years since the passing of his beloved wife, Mrs. Lorene Wilson, Perry has now joined her in eternal rest. He is also reunited with his parents, great-grandson, sisters, brothers, and brothers- and sisters-in-law in heaven.
On October 1, 2025, at 3:17 a.m., God called Perry home to rest. Though he has departed from this earthly life, his love, faith, and legacy of hard work will continue to live on in the hearts of all who knew him.
He leaves to cherish his precious memory:
Three devoted daughters — Carolyn Taylor, Pamela Wilson, and Lesa Wilson;
