Anita Gail Hamilton Obituary

Anita Gail Hamilton was born on January 2, 1953, to Bradey Eugene and Noble Bell Montgomery. She was the youngest of four children. Anita was raised in the West Dallas area, attended schools in the Dallas Independent School District, and graduated from Pinkston High School.

Anita worked in accounting for more than 30 years, serving many regional and national banks. She concluded her professional career with a global consulting firm, where she worked in accounting until becoming disabled.

While raising her family in the Grand Prairie and Arlington areas, Anita quickly and naturally became the neighborhood mom. Her doors were always open, filled with love, food, and laughter. Anita loved cooking, shopping, and, most of all, her grandchildren.

Some called her Anita, and some called her Gail, but with the birth of her first grandchild, she became “Nina.” Once Chris began to talk, he heard Don call for “Nita” and repeated what he thought he heard—he just couldn’t work the “T” sound. Therefore, Nina it was, and Nina it has been ever since.

Anita was preceded in death by her parents, Bradey Sr. and Noble Montgomery; her siblings, Faye, Bradey Jr. (Tink), and Charles (Fee); her daughter, Rachael; and her grandson, Jeremy.

Anita leaves to cherish her memory her sons, Jonathan and Jeoffery; her grandsons, Christopher (Shandelle), Jaylon, and Malek; her great-grandson, Reign; and a host of nephews, nieces, relatives, and friends.
