Annette Rachelle Leonard McDuffie entered this life September 1, 1979 at Baylor Hospital in Dallas, TX, the fifth and final child born to Damita Jo and Eddie Leonard.  Arriving twelve minutes after her identical twin sister, Andrea, she earned her place as the official baby of the family, and was appropriately known as “Baby Girl”. She received her early education at W.W. Bushman Elementary and later, O.W. Holmes Junior High School where she played alto and tenor saxophone as a member of the O.W. Holmes “Boss Band”. She graduated from Skyline High School and Career Development center, where she studied foreign language and business administration. These skills proved valuable as Annette would later find success as an analyst in accounting before later advancing to team lead/supervisor for PepsiCo.

Annette met and fell in love with her best friend, Michael McDuffie.  They were married July 20, 2002 at Life in Christ Family Church in Lancaster and were entrusted with two beautiful children, Michaela and Michael.  She loved home décor and entertaining guests, and enjoyed making meals and memories with her family.  So much so, her baking hobby led her to take classes in cake decorating. Her baking and beautiful decorating skills were a delight to many.  Annette poured light and love (and humor) into any space she visited. Her presence andt556 impact will never be forgotten.

A cherished reunion awaits Annette as she was preceded in death by her mother, Damita Jo Leonard, brother, Donovan Earl Leonard and Sister-in-love, Deborah Michelle Leonard.  She leaves to celebrate her legacy, a devoted husband, Michael Shane McDuffie, daughter, Michaela Seraia, and son, Michael Sean; her father, Eddie E. Leonard, sisters, Andrea ‘Andi’ Leonard, Tamishia Leonard Rose (Patrick) and Yanna Leonard Landry (Marvin), mother and father in love, Mae Francis and Lester McDuffie and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
