Beverly Janice Jones Obituary

Beverly Janice Jones was born November 3rd; 1934 to the parentage of Walter Williams and Bennie Boyd in Terrell, Texas. When Beverly was young, she dedicated her life to God at New Hope Missionary Baptist Church in Terrell. She completed her high school education at Burnett High School in 1952. Beverly earned her Bachelors and Masters Degree from Prarie View A&M University. An avid lover of education, she became a teacher for DISD for 35 years, retiring in 1993.


Beverly loved the Lord and prayed every day. Later in life, she became a member of Greater Saint James Missionary Baptist Church in Dallas, Texas where she served as a deaconess, usher, and leader in the church. She enjoyed reading scriptures and singing during bible study. In her spare time,she enjoyed spending time with her family, shopping, and was a member of the Queen of Hearts Bid Wiz Club.


In 1956, she married Robert Price. To this Union, Cassandra Lynn and Ronnie Brenard were born. In 1981, she married David Jones, member of Greater Saint James Missionary Baptist Church. They happily resided in Dallas, Texas.


Beverly is proceeded in death by her parents, Walter Williams and Bennie Boyd. Husband, David Jones, and sister, Shirley Williams.


She leaves behind her children, Cassandra and Ronnie Price, granddaughter, Bria Janice Price, grandson, Rodrick Ridge, extended family, Michael and Willie Williams, Felicia Monroe, Phillip Williams, along with a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and dear friends.
