Bari Karla Simpson Pinto was born to the parentage of Jimmie and Delores Simpson on November 30, 1959 in Fort Seal, Oklahoma. She entered eternal rest on August 7, 2023 at her home in Fort Worth, Texas. When Bari was 9 months old the family moved to Baker, Oregon for five years. The family returned to Texas in 1965 and settled in Fort Worth where she attended primary school at Our Lady of Victory Catholic School and went on to graduate from Southwest High School in 1977. Bari obtained her Associate’s Degree from Tarrant County Junior College.

On March 16, 2009, she was blessed with a beautiful granddaughter Melai Celeste, who gave her the nickname “GrandBear”. She enjoyed spending summers in Atlanta, Georgia with her daughter and granddaughter. During the summers they enjoyed taking trips, sharing their love of dogs, and working on projects. She enjoyed figuring out how to put things together and took pride in accomplishing even the most difficult of tasks.

Bari was a free spirit who lived life the way she wanted and enjoyed expressing herself and her love of butterflies as evident through her beautifully colored body art. Bari also enjoyed all things Bob Marley and even named her beloved pup “Rasta”.

Those who will continue to love and cherish her memory are her parents Jim and Delores Simpson, her daughter, Monica Henderson, granddaughter, Melai, brother Ronnie Simpson, nephew, Shantey Simpson, Grandmother Ruthie McKnight, Aunt, Faye Cohen, as well as a host of other family members and friends.
