Obituary of Rose Giddings Rose Estell Jefferson-Giddings was born on November 10, 1923, to Mr. Earl Jefferson and Francis J. Thompson Jefferson in Groesbeck, Texas. She later moved, along with her mother and father, to Bynum, Texas, where she received her formal education. In 1944, she moved to Dallas, Texas, where she met and married Lofton Giddings, who preceded her in death. To this union, one daughter was born, LaKeisha Lashawn Giddings. Mother Giddings embraced Christ at an early age. After moving to Dallas she united with El Bethel Baptist Church, under the pastorage of the late Reverend B.B. Neal. In 1958, she received Christ as her personal savior and was baptized in the Holy Ghost. She later took fellowship at Deliverance Revival Tabernacle, under the pastorage of the late Bishop Milton Jones. After fellowshipping with Full Gospel Holy Temple, under the leadership of the Apostle L. Murray, she was a co-founder of the Sanctuary of Liberty Church, and was a minister of the gospel. She was past president of the C.W.I.A. (Christian Women in Action), and was with the fellowship for 27 years. She later moved and was co-founder of Trinity Bible Center. Mother Giddings is preceded in death by her parents, Earl Jefferson and Francis Thompson Jefferson; one sister, Elain Bledsoe; and a son, L.M. Giddings. She leaves to cherish her memories her daughter, LaKeisha Giddings of Garland, Texas; three grandsons, Dekeitheran (Ke-Ke), Lytidrion (Ty) and Emanuel Jr. (Man-Man); two great-granddaughters, Angel Roberson and Samiyah Edwards of Dallas, Texas; one sister, Earlene Stevenson of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; and a host of extended children, nieces, nephews, loved ones and friends.
