Obituary of Sherilyn Denise Kelly

Please share a memory of Sherilyn to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
On July 27th, 1969 a beautiful¸ loving, and outgoing baby girl made her debut into this world at Providence Hospital in Oakland California. God blessed Lonnie and Johnnie Kelly with a precious gift into their hearts and home. Sherilyn accepted Jesus Christ as her Lord and personal savior and was baptized, at an early age at Second Baptist Church in Vallejo, California under the leadership of Pastor Fleetwood Irving. She began her education at Serra Elementary school in Richmond California. She graduated from Berkeley High School and continued her education at Contra Costa College….earning a Ph.D. in shopping! Sherilyn’s happiest moments were spent with her family and friends shopping, traveling the world and watching sports particularly the Oakland Raiders and The Golden State Warriors. She had an immense love for music, the finer things in life, and not to mention, shopping! Her confidence exuded with every step she took in her sassy stilettos. Ms. Sherilyn Denise Kelly was a devoted, daughter, sister, auntie, friend, and girlfriend. There are no words to describe the unbreakable bond she shared with her one and only nephew, Armaan. She played an extremely active role in his life. She lived up to the title Auntie aka “Tee Tee”. When it comes to the type of friend she was, where should one begin……She exemplified what a friend should be. She was supportive, kept secrets, and always stepped up. You could always be yourself around her, because of her magnetic spirit. She loved you when you were at your best and loved you more when you were at your worst. Sherilyn was a dedicated employee of AT&T for over 20 years. Her co-workers loved to be in her presence, due to her infectious smile and personality, quick wit, and sense of humor. On Thursday May 10th our heavenly father swung the gates of heaven open, gave Sherilyn her wings, and welcomed her back home to eternally peace. Sherilyn Denise Kelly leaves to cherish her Parents, Lonnie and Johnnie Kelly; her Sister Alana Kelly; her handsome Nephew Armaan Coleman, whom she treated as her own child; the love of her life Robert Burdett; favorite aunts Brenda Brumfield , Linda Crockett and Lillian Roberts; uncles, James Crockett and Curtis Paul Crockett , a host of loving cousins, uncles, aunts and friends. To know her was to love her.
