She received her formal education in the Gilmer School System, where she graduated from Bruce High School. She later married Willie Leroy Tate, and to this union, four children were born. Fannie dedicated many years of service to Baylor Hospital in Dallas, Texas. She retired from Baylor in 1998. Fannie accepted Christ at an early age. She later united with the R.E.A.L. Baptist Church, where she served faithfully in the S.A.L.T. Ministry and the Mother’s Board. She was preceded in death by her parents, Berry Cooper and Susie Mae Cooper Yarber, and her daughter, Jacquelyn McFarland. Fannie leaves to cherish her memories: three children, Castedarial Buddy Tate (Darlene), Arland Tate (Debbie), and Machelle Andrews (Paul); eight grandchildren, Chiniqua Tate, Tameshia Tate, Tiffany Ashley (Robert), Jessika Tate, Shiniqua Tate (Ray), Brittany McLeod, Michael Tate, and Paul Andrews II; ten great-grandchildren; three great-great grandchildren; and a host of other relatives and special friends.
