Obituary of Vallie Estell Vallie Jo Estell, age 84, of Dallas, Texas passed away May 17, 2010. Mrs. Estell was born to the late Joe and Sereptha Winonah (Mitchell) Smith. She was married to Roscoe C. Estell. She served for more than 58 years at St. John Missionary Baptist Church where she was a musician. Mrs. Estell was a retired educator and was employed by the Dallas Independent School District for 44 years. She served as a Music Teacher/Choir Director at B.F. Darrell Elementary, J.W. Ray Elementary, and Julia C. Frazier Elementary, O.W. Holmes Junior High School and Boude Storey Middle School (chosen Teacher of the Year two times). She also, was a substitute teacher at Pearl C. Anderson Learning Center, Joseph J. Rhodes Learning Center, and H.S. Thompson Learning Center. Wake: Friday, May 21, 2010 at 6-8 P.M. Black and Clark Funeral Home Chapel -2517 E.
