Black and Clark Funeral Staff,

On behalf of the Lorena Register Devine Woods Family, we "Thank You" for the dignity and excellence in which you preserved the body of our beloved.

The final appearance evoked memories of the beautiful woman we knew to be in her earlier days. Our hearts were comforted by your artistic professional ability to restore her to perfection.

As a team you went above and beyond our expectations. Again, "Thank You" for your professional services.

Wishing you continued success in your Business!

Sincere Gratitude,

Lawrence E. Devine & Family

To Management,

I am sending this letter to acknowledge the exceptional service and care my family and I received from the entire staff at Black & Clark, especially Ms. Sunday and Mr. Powell.

Mere words cannot adequately describe the outstanding services provided by both Ms. Sunday and Mr. Powell. Their professional demeanor, kindness, compassion, attention to detail and their ability to follow through is unparalleled.

In my not so humble opinion they are very valuable assets to Black & Clark and, you are very fortunate to have them a part of your team. I hope and pray I won't need your services anytime soon but, should the need arise, I will not hesitate to use your facility.

God bless you,

Sincerely,
Johnnie Kelly & Family

Words cannot thank you enough for the service that you rendered our husband and father, Bernard Williams. The natural dark that he had after the embalming procedure was superb.

Bernard always thought a great deal of your now exemplified friendship. Many thanks to you for your kindness

Dear Ms. Mitchell,

You may not remember me, but I came to your funeral home in October looking for information on an infant child. She was never given a name since she died shortly after birth in 1949. This infant would have been my big sister, I wanted to have known more about her short life for a very long time. I came to you possessing only a copy of a burial card from Lincoln Cemetery. You were able to locate a death certificate from 1949, which provided me with a lot of information that I didn't have. I was so grateful for your stellar record keeping, I wanted so much to see some record of her life. A name. Anything.

I have since found my 'big sister' and have had a beautiful headstone installed at her resting place. This Thanksgiving, my Mother, brother and sisters and I, visited her grave for the very first time together. I am emotional just writing this. I saw my mother as I have never seen her before. Grief stricken, emotional but very grateful to me for what I had done for our family. It was the most beautiful emotional and touching time we have ever spent together.

Ms. Mitchell, I feel I owe so much of this to you, and wanted to thank you for the simple document you provided me. What you do for families is so important. I will never forget you, Ms. Mitchell.

With heartfelt Thanks

Betty Todd
