Mrs. Anna Marie Harrison

(“Mama Anna”)

Anna Marie Harrison (Craft) was born to the parentage of George Otis and Johnnie Mae Craft (Bramlett) on April 26, 1933 in Dallas, TX. She was the 2nd born of 5 children.

Mama Anna received her formal education through the Dallas Independent School District and was a graduate of Booker T. Washington High School in 1950. During her life, Mama Anna was a loving and devoted wife, mother, and grandmother. She retired from Republic National Bank (Bank of America) in the Research and Adjustment Department after 27 years of service.

Mama Anna accepted Jesus Christ as her Lord and Savior and was baptized at an early age. She was a member of Bethany Missionary Baptist Church for several years. While at Bethany, she played the piano for the youth choir and was a Sunday school teacher. She later joined Antioch Fellowship Missionary Baptist Church where the late Dr. Karry D. Wesley was her pastor.

On July 21, 1951, she was united in marriage to Arbin Harrison, Jr. To this union seven children were born. She loved family holiday gatherings and cooking for different family events. Mama Anna touched so many lives with her love and kindness and will be deeply missed by her family and those who knew her.

Mama Anna was preceded in death by her husband, Arbin Harrison, Jr., three sons, James Otis Harrison (Quinette), Johnny Earl Harrison (Victoria), David Oliver Harrison, one daughter, Peggy Ann Harrison, one sister, Agnes Lucille Greene (Joe), and both parents, George Otis and Johnnie Mae Craft.

Mama Anna leaves behind a beautiful legacy of three children: Arbin Harrison, III (Pat), Pamela Marie Harrison, and Mitchell Tracy Harrison; one daughter-in-law, Edna Quinette Harrison; two sisters, Lois E. Pruitt and Helen D. Smith; one brother, Robert E. Craft (Marjorie); one brother-in-law, Joe Greene (Charlotte); 22 grandchildren, 34 great-grandchildren, 2 great-great grandchildren, a host of nieces and nephews, and other wonderful relatives and friends.
