Velma moved her membership to Cedar Crest CME Church where she served on the Stewardess Board, Missionary Society, sang in the Choir and taught Sunday School. She especially enjoyed the Sundays when she taught the Sunday school class. She was a faithful member until her death. Velma loved, loved, loved to sing.
