Obituary of Floria Mae Lee

Mrs.Floria Mae Lee " Patsy"
was born September 24th 1930 in Hopkins County Sulphur Springs Texas to the parentage of the late Charlie Young and Rosa Lee Stribling Young.  She was the youngest of 18 siblings.

Her early years of spiritual guidance and  education started in Sulphur Springs Texas and she split her high school years attended Douglas High School in Sulphur Springs TX and the remaining high school years at George Washington Carver in Sherman Texas; college years with Bishop College in Marshall Texas. During her time in Sherman Texas she United with Harmony Baptist Church. In her later adult life she united with Munger Ave Baptist Church Dallas TX under the pastorship of Rev Robert L Rowe.

She united in marriage with Cecil Ulysses Lee on March 25,1956. This union lasted nearly 55 years until the death of Cecil on March 5th 2012.                         

She retired as a "type sitter"after 25 years of employment with Taylor Publishing Company Dallas TX

Floria and Cecil had 4 children from their   marriage.  2 Daughters-Debra Lee Wells Lewisville TX; Camelia Lee Jefferson (Donald) Rowlett TX. 2 Sons Virgil Lee Dallas TX; Dearl Lee Dallas TX;  Grand-daughter LaQuisa Sypert Paterson NJ; Great-Grand-daughter Ruqayyah Sa'naa Garland NJ and Kinsley Wells, Memphis, TN.

She is also survived by Sister-in-Law Opal Young (Wallace Young) Sulphur Springs TX. Endearing Nieces-Earlean Jones Compton CA, Sandra Scott Dallas TX, Barbara Young Dallas TX, Jan Murphy McKinney TX, Patricia Lowell Sherman TX, Mary Hicks Dallas TX and an endearing great nephew Reverend Dr Timothy Sloan Humble TX. Life long friends Alzie Levels Dallas TX and Mr and Mrs Clifton Hammond The Colony TX.

Floria is preceded in death by her siblings Estella Beed, Camilla Taplin, Granvile Young, Lucious Young, Joanna Sims, Geneva Moore, Zodia Askew, Julia Alberty, Jonella Young, Beatrice Johnson, Willis Young, Wallace Young, Lennis Young, Bruce Young and Hosea Young and 2 older siblings that died in early chilhood.

The Lee Family wishes to express our deepest appreciation and gratitude for all of those who throughout Floria's life made an impression with her and with her family.
