Obituary of Marilyn F. Hubbard
Marilyn F. Bennett Hubbard was born to Edgle and Eddie Mae Mask Bennett on January 18, 1931, in Dennison, Texas. She accepted Christ as her Savior at an early age and attended church in Dennison regularly. She attended the Public Schools in Dennison, Texas.
Upon moving to Dallas, Texas she attended St. John Baptist Church and later united with Munger Avenue Baptist Church. For over 60 years where she served as president of the Youth Usher Board, Instructor of Senior Usher Board, Sunday School Women’s Bible Class #6, Mission, Vacation Bible School, BTU and Boy Scouts of America.
Marilyn was employed by the Adolph Hotel as an Elevator Operator for a number of years and later employed by Neiman Marcus in merchandise Accounting until her retirement after 25 years of service.
In December 1972, Marilyn married her love Tom R. Hubbard. With a heart full of love for children the Lord blessed them with 3 children, 2 boys and 1 girl. Marilyn and Tom enjoyed
49 years of marital bliss with her love of fishing and camping. She was a devoted wife, affectionately known as “honey dew”, and homemaker who loved spending quality time and traveling with her family.
Marilyn did volunteer work with the Urban League of Greater Dallas, AARP Tax Association Assistant and Cedar Crest Home Owners Association.
She was preceded in death by her beloved parents, Edgle and Eddie Mae Mask Bennett.
Marilyn peacefully entered eternal rest on September 24, 2021, leaving to cherish her memory and legacy: husband, Tom Hubbard, Dallas, Texas; two sons, Matthew Hubbard of Seattle, Washington, and Timothy (Sonya) Hubbard of Dallas, Texas; and one daughter, Amelia Hubbard of Dallas, Texas; one grandson, Dyvaryn Hubbard and one granddaughter, Malaya Wizzard; one sister, Donna Bennett of Dallas, Texas, and one cousin Nia Wagner of Dallas, Texas. She also leaves to cherish her memory, the Munger Avenue Church family, and a host of relatives and friends.
