Obituary of Jessie Mae Riley
Mrs. Jessie Mae Riley was born on July 26, 1937 to the parentage of Otto Johnson, Sr. and Clara Johnson.
She accepted Christ at an early age and was baptized at Griggs Chapel Baptist Church where she was very active in the Sr. Choir. Mrs. Riley attended graduated from Lincoln High School in Dallas, Texas. She was a licensed vocational nurse.
Mrs. Riley worked at the Parkland Memorial Hospital and Carver Children’s Clinic for over 35 years.
She is preceded in death by her father, Otto Johnson, Sr., mother, Clara Johnson, sister, Ruthie Holloway, brother, Rev. Jimmie Johnson, brother, Oliver Johnson, son, Reginald Johnson, son, Rev. William Patrick Riley and granddaughter Tiffany Riley.
Mrs. Riley leaves to cherish her precious children, Byron Johnson, Sr. (Meachell) and Sharon Jones (Rev. Ashton Jones, Jr.); Siblings, Clara Wiley and Otto Johnson, Jr.; Eleven grandchildren; Eight great-grandchildren; and a host of
special nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives and friends who dearly loved her.
