Obituary of Bernice Young

Bernice Young was born in Jefferson, Texas on June 26, 1947 to Burnie and Winnie (Roberson) Young. She attended Jefferson Public Schools, graduating from Central High School. She continued her education at Jarvis Christian College and graduated with a B.A. in Mathematics.

Bernice accepted Christ as her Lord and Savior at an early age. She was a faithful and charter member of Camp Wisdom United Methodist Church. She served on the Administrative Board and was a Communion Stewart. She was an active participant in bible study and in Sunday school.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Burnie and Winnie Young, and her sister Myra (Young) Smith. To cherish her memory, Bernice leaves a son, Corey L. Young; daughter-in-law, Angela Young; two grandchildren: Corey A-H Young and Courtney Young; two step-grandchildren: Brittani Aghayere and Tyrone Phillips III.; brother, Ray Young Sr. and sister-in-law Jeraldine Young; great-grandchildren: Aaden, Ava, Aaliyah, Prynce, and Jaxon, as well as many nieces, nephews, cousins, and special friends.
