Obituary of Tommie Lee Wright

  Tommie Lee Okra Wright, was born on February 6, 1943 in Dallas, Texas to the parentage of Thomas and Herdie Okra in Dallas, Texas.  She departed this life peacefully on Saturday, March 12, 2022.  

Tommie was married to her late husband Arthur Wright for 32 years, and to their union two children were born Paquela and Keyla.  Tommie gave her life Christ at early age and was baptized and united with the Greater New Zion Baptist Church in Dallas, Texas.  Tommie graduated from Lincoln High School in 1963. It was her pleasure to cook and service others and she worked in the food industry for many years.  Her favorite past time was gardening, spending time with her only grandson, and a special friend Esther Hughes.

She was preceded in death by her father Thomas Okra, mother Herdie Okra, husband of 32 years Arthur Wright, son Donnie Okra, son-in-law David Aycock, one brother Charles Okra,  6 brother in-laws  Lionel Broussard, Alfred Wright, Charles Wright, Kary Bell, Ricky Bell and Joe Bell.

Tommie leaves to celebrate her life 2 daughters, Paquela Holt (Henry), Keyla Aycock.  One grandson Tyrese Holt, 2 sisters Earline Broussard, Shirley Adrian (Richard), and 2 Sister in Laws Lora McDonald (Frederick) and Betty Wright along with a host of relatives and friends.
