To the Land Family
We take this time to express our personal condolences to the family of Steven R Land. Our thoughts and prayers go out to the family and friends during this hour of great sadness. May all grieving hearts draw comfort from this promise from God where He shares with us the resurrection blessing that He will extend to those who have fallen asleep in death. This promise is recorded at John 5:28-29. As the text states, God would cause a calling to go forth to those who are sleeping in their grave to stand up in life again. For now, we find ourselves in a period of darkness and gloom. However, from this one promise, God tells us that the day of brightness is just around the corner. We have much to look forward to from the many wonderful promises of
God. Until this arrangement takes place, we can use this time to learn all that we can about the resurrection blessing from God. There are nine accounts in the Bible that speaks about those who benefited from this loving arrangement from God. And there were many there who saw with their own eyes their loved ones standing up in life again. Here is just one such example that will surely provide true comfort to your grieving hearts. The account is John 11:32-44. I hope that all will get a chance to see how these verses apply to Steven, and to many others as they await their awakening from the deep sleep of death. In closing we encourage all to please keep promise of God near your hearts at all times. Remember that when God makes a promise, it becomes reality. For it is impossible for God to lie. (Titus 1:2)
