Q: What was Claud really good at?
A: My heart is saddened at the passing of Rev. Persons. I was blessed to have him as a mentor as well as a fellow golf buddy. We won several golf tournaments as he taught the etiquette of the sport. Our church was exceptionally blessed to have him as a friend of the church as he mentored me and gave me sound guidance on how to lead my people. Rev. Persons will be truly missed.
I remember the last time I talked to him I told him that I had defended and received my Doctorate. He was so happy and proud of me. The last time we played golf together several years ago I lost and I was awarded the Old Geezer statue that went to the worst score of the round. Rev. Person couldn't believe I still had it.
In closing I thank you Rev. Person for your fatherly love and guidance. I'll hold on to the Geezer for you.
