To my dad, Wesley Earl Crawford, you always wanted me to remember your name, so you reminded me every time you left me a voicemail message that it was Wesley Earl Crawford calling me. What can I say about the man who made absolutely sure knew how to make it through life? Dad, you made a point to be present in my life and that has made all the difference. No matter your triumphs or your struggles, I NEVER doubted your love for me and your desire for me to be the best version of myself. I’ll always remember being known in middle school as the girl that came to school every day chauffeured in a limousine, I guess that’s why I enjoy the finer things in life to this day. Your life showed me how it looks to fall down and then get back up and keep going. You taught me the importance of praying, every time I called you with a problem, you would say, “Let’s pray.” You would remind me to trust God. You strongly encouraged me to give you a grandbaby and when she was born you almost forgot I existed because you were so smitten with your grandbaby girl. As you neared the end of your earthly life, the only thing that mattered to me was that you were as comfortable as possible. You would call me over to your recliner and say, hold my hand, it was my pleasure to do just that. I’ve shed a fountain of tears since your last breath, but I know God will carry me through this very difficult hour. As you always said, I’ll be sure to just do, “the best I can.” Loving you forever, your daughter Sherita Lynelle!!

Hello, my name is Iana and I am Wesley Crawford’s granddaughter. He called me “E.”
Many people have different names they use for their grandfathers. Mine was Tata. From the moment I was born everywhere we go. He would say “This is my little grandbaby,” and even a week before he left this earth, he told his classmates. This is my granddaughter.
I will forever miss him but will have peace, knowing he’s at eternal rest.
My Tata taught me many life lessons. I will never forget as I was looking over the time we had together. He taught me always to take care of business.
I remember when we were in his van and I changed the radio station he had listened to for years! He says what is this???
I laugh and say some different music.
He would always have something funny to say that would never fail to make me laugh, which is one of his great personality traits memories like these are what will keep us going.
Psalms 34:18 gives us comfort in saying … the Lord is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit

Papa Wesley,
From the first time I met Papa Wesley he treated me as his own daughter and always brought joy and a smile to my face when we saw one another or talked on the phone. Even though he was not my biological father, he always made me feel like I was. He was the best and I will never forget him.

All of Wesley’s Baylor Rehabilitation friends will miss him. We became friends when Wesley came to BIR for water therapy. We would walk and talk in the water and all of us developed a close friendship. All of us went to lunch together once a month including Wesley. George owns a Mexican restaurant and we had our luncheon at George’s Place for years. So long Wesley, rest in peace.

I met Mr. Crawford about 7 years ago through my friend Jeani Anderson. I loved him the moment I met him!! He was kind, sweet and always had a positive outlook on life no matter what challenges he faced.
He believed in hard work, which led him to being a successful businessman. He was blessed with a loving wife and family who he spoke of often. He believed in God and the power of prayer. I feel privileged to have known him and I will miss him.

I met Wesley in the fellowship. I saw him work the steps and abandon himself to God, which gave him opportunities to work with others. He talked and walked the AA program in good standing. I never saw Wesley when he was not smiling.The great part of Wesley's recovery is he had his wife Annelda supporting him through his recovery.

Mr. Crawford was the quintessential gentleman. I met him a decade or so ago through a mutual friend, Ms Jeani,, and my sister “Ms Rose” and I knew almost immediately why everyone loved Mr Crawford. We loved him, too. Mr Crawford was a kind man, a Godly man, a successful businessman and he was hard working. He faced many challenges over the last years with his health but every time we spoke he was on his way to recovery, “Thanks be to God”. So sad to hear he has left. We will miss him.
In closing, Pat and I will keep his wife Annelda and the family in our prayers. There is CERTAINLY a heavenly chorus of angels there to greet Mr Crawford. May God rest
his soul.

I loved Mr Wesley! I met him in Sonora Tx. He cleaned my office windows and we did business together from then on! I was always on Mr Wesley about his cigarette smoking - I told him I could always find him on the road because of the cigarette smoke billowing out of his car!! He did the windows for so many of my clients! We all loved Mr Wesley! He was one of the kindest, always laughing, serving bright spots in all our lives! He will be missed by many for so many reasons! So blessed to have met and worked with Mr Wesley!

Wesley's intelligence, courage, and loving nature were evident to all who had the privilege of knowing him. His kindness and humor brightened every room he entered and his faith was truly inspiring. Wesley and I became friends 20 years ago when I hired him to wash our windows at our shop. Wasn't long before I looked forward to his monthly visits, just to chat. He always lifted my spirits and had me laughing before he left. He would also yell at me when he saw me pulling weeds in the summer, saying I was too old for that! God bless Wesley and his family. I will miss him for the rest of my life.
