Larry Eugene Roland Obituary

Larry Eugene Roland was born to the parentage of Ervin Ray and Verra McQueen Roland. He was a native of Sulphur Springs, Tx and after graduation moved to Dallas, Tx.


He attended Douglas Elementary school and graduated from the Sulphur Springs High School in 1973.


Larry was employed with Dart for many years as a driver and operation manager. He received his counseling certification in 2018 from Lighthouse Ministries.


Larry grew up in a home knowing that God was Savior of all. He accepted Christ at an early age and was an ordained minister. He served his church and community faithfully. Larry did not meet a stranger and demonstrated Agapa love to all who came in contact with him. Larry had a very generous heart and never evaded the opportunity to help. He always went beyond what was called and often what he was not even capable of doing with his own means. He always had an encouraging word and always stated


“God will work it out”.


He leaves to cherish his memory, mother Verra Roland Sulphur Springs, Tx . Brother Alonzo Roland (Ping), Oklahoma, sister Glodaious Roland, Sulphur Springs, 2 nephews, 2 nieces. A host of cousins, family members and friends.


He is proceeded in death by his father Ervin Roland, brother Edward Roland, sister Lothesia Roland Pratt, one nephew LaRon Pannell, grandparents and two aunts Virginia Wright and Vernell McCall.
