Obituary of VIctor Duane Hicks II
Victor D. Hicks entered the world on
April 7, 1974 in Dallas, Texas to the parentage of Victor D. Hicks Sr and Francine L. Mcgill Hicks.
Victor received his formal education in the Dallas independent school district. While in the Texas youth commission, Victor attended Giddings State Home & school in Giddings, Texas, where he received his high school diploma. He later further his education at El Centro community college in Dallas Texas.
Victor accepted Jesus Christ as his savior at an early age and professed his belief and love for Christ throughout his life.
Victor was a man with many talents, he possessed an entrepreneurial spirit. Victor owned and operated several businesses throughout his life like: Thrift & more furniture, A to B Auto Sales where his slogan was” If you got the cash, I can get you in a car fast.” His latest business venture was The Big & Beautiful a plus size Boutique.
In his leisure time, he enjoyed watching the Food Network and cooking up exquisite meals for his family & friends, which coined him the nickname
“Chef El Negro.” He liked to dance and go fishing. Victor was a huge Dallas Cowboys fan. He was an avid supporter for feeding the homeless and would gather family & friends to help him pass out, home-cooked hot meals to the less fortunate.
Victor departed this life on
November 30, 2023. He was preceded in death by his beloved mother
Francine L. McGill Hicks, maternal grandparents Charles & Zettie McGill, maternal great grandmother Lealor Brooks, Uncle James W. McGill, niece Shaniqua McGill. Paternal grandparents George & Eva Marie Hicks, Uncle Lester Mayberry.
He leaves to cherish his memory 3 sons Travion Hicks, Tralyon Hicks, Tracie Hicks,
2 daughters Makyla Hicks, Heaven Hicks
Father: Victor D. Hicks Sr, Siblings: Reginald McGill, Lakesha Crawford, Kenisha Gamez, Broderick Hicks Speed, Yolanda Justice, and a host of nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles , cousins, and extended family & friends, who loved him dearly.
