Obituary of Michael Dell Henderson

Mr. Michael Dell Henderson was born on December 5, 1953, to Robert Daniel Henderson and Theresa Sinegal Griffiths in Dallas, Texas. To this union two children were born. He was born a leader that was extremely talented, intelligent, outgoing, and ambitious. He married an equally ambitious woman Lola Faye Henderson (preceded in death) and together the two had two children. Michael operated his family-owned business, the famous Henderson’s Chicken.

He attended St. Anthony Catholic School and Bishop Dunn High School. Michael went on to serve our Country in 1972 and retired from The United States Army.

Michael was a family man who loved spending time with his family. His smile was infectious, and his personality filled with passion and vibrancy.  Those who were close to Michael were touched by his loving spirit.

Our heavenly Father released Michael on Friday, June 2, 2024; He is preceded in death by his mother, father, brother, Marvin Daniel Henderson and stepfather, Sylvester Griffiths.

The celebration of honoring his life and legacy continues , with his daughter Micquesha King (Nick Valentine) and son Michael Henderson Jr. (Tarsha), his grandchildren Daraylon M. King, Orlando J. Spears III, JeRaylon J Spears, Maikayla Henderson, Tatiana Henderson, Lauren Henderson, Michael D. Henderson III, Mychal Masche Henderson, and Amari Griffin, four great grandchildren, one sister September Henderson Herron (Joseph), stepmother Matilda Ann Henderson, close friend LaCreta Lawrence, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, friends and other family relatives. Everyone who knew him loved him and will forever remember him.
