I meet Darling, in senior year through her sister Sharon. When Darlene and I were together (sometimes Sharon as well) we were always laughing and plotting some scheme to have teenage fun... basketball & football games, after game parties. I loved going to her house and spending time with her family. Over the years we lost contact as people do. But she, as well as her family have always been in my heart. I remember when Darlene was first born December 1956 and the day she came home Darlene live with us until the early sixties. I remember when she made her first step on her own. I watch her grow up.She was quick-witty and funny. She served as her mother right hand Ma-dam.To the family of Curtie Rabon my condolences. It’s so hard to say goodbye. I’m still processing that I will not get those phone calls saying, “what did you cook today?” Then you telling me, “I cooked some Mac & cheese, I got a pan for you & MiMi”.
