Obituary of Paula McConnell

Paula A. Davis-McConnell, 57, of Lancaster, Texas, entered eternal rest on October 8, 2019. She was a diligent mother, sister, and friend to many.
Paula was born in Dallas, Texas, on October 28, 1961. She graduated from Roosevelt High School and continued to receive a degree at Texas Tech University.
Paula accepted Christ at an early age at Carver Heights Baptist Church, under the pastorage of Rev. Tyler Carter. Later, she moved her membership to Oak Cliff Bible Fellowship under the pastorage of Dr. Tony Evans. After marriage, she joined her husband at New Birth Baptist Church under the pastorage of Dr. George W. Pryor, where she served effortlessly until her health failed.
Paula was married to Gary L. Davis, who preceded her in death in 1998. She later married Avery McConnell, Sr. on February 14, 2002, and they remained happily married for 17 years.
Paula began her career as a medical biller for Children’s Hospital and went on to become the CEO/Owner of Paula’s Soulfood Kitchen, where she continued until her health failed. Paula was actively involved in Relay For Life and Susan G. Komen “Race For The Cure.”
Paula is survived by spouse, Avery McConnell, Sr.; her children, Ervin G. Boozer, of DeSoto, Texas, Eboni L. Davis and Avery L. McConnell II, of Lancaster, Texas: mother, Pearline Morgan, of DeSoto, Texas; father, Rogers W. Morgan (Anne), of Dallas, Texas and
Rogers W. Morgan II, of Dallas, Texas; and a host of other family and friends.
