Life Reflection
Werner Earl Mackey was born on April 13, 1960, to the parents of Lue S. Mackey and Hiwathia Chase in Dallas, Texas. Both parents preceded him in death.
Werner was educated through the Dallas Independent School District and was a 1974 Bryant Adams High School graduate. He attended Abacus Electrical Trade School and received an Electrician Apprentice license.
He worked for 17 years as an auto mechanic at the D & A Auto Repair Shop.
He accepted Jesus Christ at an early age at the Wheatley C.O.G.I.C. Dallas, Texas. Preceding his death he frequently visited the Praise Temple Evangelistic Church in Desoto, Texas. His mother always encouraged him to walk in the ways of the Lord constantly reading the 23 Psalms, Be Attitudes, and praying the Lord’s Prayer.
Werner loved helping people in any way that he could. When God called Werner’s name he was doing what he loved best, helping a friend. He practiced the act of kindness and showed respect for others. July 4th and Christmas were his favorite holidays and singing his favorite song “Put Your Hand in the Hand of the Man that Still the Water.”
Werner leaves to cherish his memories a son LaWarren Mackey, grand-daughter Kari Mackey, and a beloved sister Janice Mackey-Handsome (Morris Handsome – brother-law). Four brothers – Abe Mackey, Wilford Mackey, Bruce Mackey, and Errick Mackey. A beloved fiancée Stacey Kirven and two aunts Lula Nelson and Mary Johnson along with a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins
