Life Reflections of LaVonne Newhouse

LaVonne Newhouse was born on June5, 1948 in Dallas, Texas to the parentage of L.A. Kennedy and Audrey Mae Vinson Kennedy.  She received her education in the Dallas Public Schools.

She met the love of her life Arthur Lewis Newhouse 50years ago and they shared 37 years of United in holy Matrimony.

She accepted Christ as her Lord and Savior at an early age.  She was a member of the Ebenezer Baptist Church under the leadership of her husband Rev Arthur Lewis Newhouse where she served as first lady and was very active in the music ministry.

She worked as a cook for the Mesquite Independent School District as well as the Balch Spring School system for many years.

LaVonne enjoyed life she was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. She loved reading, cooking and singing and she surely Love the Lord with all her heart and soul.  She was inspiring to others as she ministered in song.

God called her from her earthly labor on July 10, 2024. 

She was preceded in death by her parents, and her brother Charles Kennedy.

Lady LaVonne leaves to cherish her precious memories her beloved husband, Pastor Arthur Lewis Newhouse, 3 sons, Kenneth, Michael Smith and Stacy Smith, 2 daughters, Nicole Smith and Candance Alexander,  grandchildren, Brandon Smith, Jaylon (Walker) Smith, Sariyah (Walker) Smith, Derika Corley, Kewan Robinson, Christian Smith, Kellen Smith, Koren Smith, Amirah Smith, Kai Walker, Areya Fisher, Chameon  Deadmon, Brandon Fisher Deadmon, Brittany Smith, Tiffany Smith and Kimberly Callahan, great grandchildren and great great grandchildren 1brother, Larry Kennedy, 5 sisters, Jacquelyn Buard, Romaine Kennedy, JoAnn McCollough, Andria Kennedy and Pamela Kennedy, a host of other relatives and friends.
