Please share a memory of Linda to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.

On August 23, 2024, the world lost a remarkable woman, Linda Denise Nobles-Hunt, whose spirit, love, and devotion left an indelible mark on everyone who had the privilege of knowing her. Born on September 5, 1958, in Dallas, Texas, to the loving parents Joe Walter Nobles and Marjorie Nell Nobles, Linda was a beacon of warmth, joy, and generosity from the very start. Her childhood with her sisters Tina and Jeanna was filled with love, laughter, and an innate curiosity about the world around them. Linda’s educational journey began at Skyline High School in Dallas, where she graduated with honors in 1976. She was a dedicated student, and her commitment to excellence in education continued as she pursued a Bachelor’s of Business Administration at the University of Texas at Arlington. Graduating in 1980, she set the stage for a successful and fulfilling career. Linda was a proud graduate member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Incorporated, where she formed lifelong bonds with her sorority sisters. While at UTA, Linda met the love of her life, Eleow Hunt. Their connection was immediate and deep, blossoming into a marriage that lasted over 40 incredible years. Together, they built a life filled with laughter, adventure, and an unbreakable bond that withstood all the joys and challenges of life.

Linda and Eleow were truly a team, supporting each other through life’s ups and downs, always with grace and humor. Her pride and joy along with Eleow, was their two children, Ryan and Morgan, whom she adored beyond measure. Her heart swelled with happiness at the thought of becoming a grandmother (or as she wanted to be called “G-Mommy”) and she was eagerly anticipating the arrival of her first grandchild, due in November. Linda’s professional life was marked by her dedication and expertise in the oil and gas industry, where she excelled as a revenue accountant and later as a revenue manager. Her nearly 40 years in the industry were characterized by her unwavering commitment to excellence, her attention to detail, and her ability to lead with both strength and compassion.

For over a decade, she served as a revenue manager, where she was respected and admired by her colleagues for her leadership, mentorship, and the positive energy she brought to the workplace. She was more than just a colleague; she was a mentor, a guide, and a friend to many. Beyond her professional achievements, Linda was a woman of many talents and passions. She was a fierce competitor with a lean mean left-hand at the ping-pong table. Sports were a great passion of hers and she found joy cheering on the Dallas Cowboys and watching her darling children learn camaraderie and teamwork on the basketball court. Linda was also an artist at heart, with a talent for drawing and writing that allowed her to express her creativity and share her perspective on the world.

Traveling was another of Linda’s great loves, and she seized every opportunity to explore new places and cultures, always eager to return with stories and memories that she shared with her loved ones. But more than anything, Linda treasured the time she spent with her family whether it was having movie nights, delicious dinners on the town, or line dancing for the holidays. Linda was also deeply committed to her faith and her church community. As a dedicated member of Progressive Baptist Church, she served as a deaconess, usher, and the Church Secretary. Her service extended beyond these roles as she shared her wisdom and love with the youth through Sunday School, where she found immense joy in teaching and nurturing the next generation.

Her faith was a guiding light in her life, and she lived it through her actions, her kindness, and her unwavering dedication to helping others. To say that Linda was a loving, warm, and fun-loving person would be an understatement. She had an incredible ability to put others before herself, always ensuring that those around her felt loved, supported, and valued. Her wit and sense of humor brightened every room she entered, and her presence brought comfort and joy to those lucky enough to know her. Linda’s legacy is one of love, service, and the deep connections she fostered with family, friends, and her community. She will be profoundly missed, but her spirit will live on in the hearts of all who knew her. Linda was preceded in death by her beloved father, Joe Nobles. She is survived by her loving husband, Eleow Hunt; her devoted children, Ryan Hunt and Morgan Hunt-Mackey, Esq. (Ethan); her dear mother, Marjorie Nobles; her cherished sisters, Tina Nobles-Holland (Frederick) and Jeanna Nobles; and a host of extended family, dear friends, and countless others whose lives she touched with her warmth, wit, and unwavering love.
