Obituary of Ardella Faye Williams

Life Reflection

As the daylight began on July 26, 1960, with that light came the life of Ardella Faye Rankin. A beautiful daughter of Milton David Rankin Sr. and Ida Mae Rankin. She accepted Christ at an early age and became a faithful member of Pleasant Grove Missionary Baptist church and later in life she united with The Faith Church.

She grew up in a loving family and she was educated at South Oak Cliff High School (SOC) graduating in the class of 1978. In 1982 she Married Roy Lee Mason Sr. and from that Union three sons were born DeMarcus, Roy Lee Jr., and Shelvin. Later in life God blessed her with three more children, Winfred, Akeema (her only daughter) and William. Throughout her life she continued to be a wife and loving supportive mother. 

Proceeding her in death her parents Milton Rankin Sr. and Ida Mae Rankin, husband Roy Lee Mason Sr, brother Milton Rankin Jr, sister Geneva Jones and son Roy Lee Mason Jr.

Those who remain to cherish her memories are her children DeMarcus Mason, Shelvin Mason (Aletrice) Winfred Board (Darelecia) Akeema Blanco (Lei'Don Sr) and William Ladd. Her sister's Gwendolyn Smith (William), Sharon Sandifer, Mentrall McCloud (Henry), Antoinette Gipson (Laron).

She also leaves behind 15 grandkids, a host of niece's, nephew’s, cousins, and friends.

She was married to Stanford Williams at the end of her life but unfortunately, they were in the process of separation and divorce.

When the sun set September 18, 2024, it took the life of Ardella "Faye Faye" Williams, a daughter, a mother and a fighter.
