Edith Yvonne Morgan was a caring mother, grandmother, sister, and friend. She departed this earthly life on Tuesday, October 29th, 2024. She was born to the late Mary Alice Tucker on June 21st, 1951, in Blackstone Virginia. Edith was the first of seven children.

 Edith received her nursing degree in St Louis, Missouri. Edith was a faithful member of Golden Gate Baptist Church.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Marshall Gyce, her son, James Odell Wright Jr, her brothers, Michael and Milton Morgan, and her beloved sister Patricia Glascoe. whom she loved dearly. She is survived by her sons, Theodies Morgan (Barbara) and Adrian Jackson (Cekedra), her brothers, John Tucker Jr, and Hasan TaQee (Sakiyah), a sister Darlene Terrell, and seven grandchildren, Theodies, Adrianna, Jone’l, Bria, Keaunna, Jennavecia, and Parker with a host of great grandchildren, and other loving relatives and friends.

 With a firecracker personality, Edith was always someone you could go to for advice, love, comfort and laughs. She enjoyed spending time with her cat Layla and had love for good company, music, and lively conversations over a glass of wine or a beer.

 Edith was the light of our family, and she will be forever loved and missed by many.
