Life Reflection


Floyd Seamster was born on January 7,1947 to Louis T. Seamster Sr. and Odessa Jackson Seamster in Shreveport, Louisiana. He was the second child. He shared the love of his parents with 4 brothers and 3 sisters. Floyd was raised and educated in Dallas Texas, he graduated in 1965 from James Madison High school, the home of the mighty Trojans. After graduation he served our country as a paratrooper for 2 years. After being discharged he married Mary Hunter on March 26,1969 and with this union they had 2 children, Seymone Renee Powell and Demond Seamster. He was employed by Dallas Rapid Transit and UPS. He was also known for his great story telling, love for golf, love for the Dallas Cowboys and loved by many.


Proceeding in Death by both his parents Louis T. and Odessa Seamster. 3 brothers, James, Donald, and Gary Seamster. 2 sisters, Arestine Gipson, and Nora Taylor.


He leaves behind to cherish his loving memories, 1 brother Louis T. and sister-in-law, Laverne Seamster, and 1 sister Oneatha Ray Seamster both residing in Dallas, Texas. 2 children, daughter Seymone Seamster Powell, and 1 son and daughter in law Demond and Lisa Seamster. 5 Grandkids; 1 grandson, Broderick Whaley, 4 Granddaughters, Britney Whaley, Dominique Seamster, Alexis Powell, and Dejah Seamster. 7 great grandchildren, Bailey Pickett, Gordon Pickett III, Jaxon Pickett, Broderick Whaley Jr, Elijah Cobbs and Kyri Powell. And a host of loving nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews.
