Obituary of Richard Lawrence Glenn II
Richard Lawrence Glenn II lived a life rich in service and passion. A graduate of Le Cordon Bleu, he served in the Army and National Guard, earning diplomas from the Academy of Health Sciences and the National Center for Construction Education and Research. He also completed training as a Heavy Equipment Operator.
Beyond his career, Richard had a passion for cooking and loved trying new recipes, hoping to one day open his own restaurant or food truck. He was a Denver Broncos fan, a music lover who particularly enjoyed Prince, and a skilled CDL driver who drove 18-wheelers for many years.
He was a believer of Christ and received Christ in his life by water baptism at the Assemblies of God Church in Winston-Salem, North Carolina, in 2001. He had a passion for cowboy culture, Star Trek, and writing. Known for his soft spirit, he was a unique, one of-a-kind individual who kept to himself and followed his own path.
He was a loving father to his daughter, Jada, keeping her in his heart despite their estrangement. As the youngest of three, he was cherished by his siblings and had many nieces and nephews who loved him dearly.
Richard will be joining those who have passed before him: his father Richard Glenn, his aunt Beverly Bottoms, his uncle Marshall Bottoms, and his grandmother and grandfather Marie and Jesse Littleton. He is survived by his mother Sharon Diane Holland (husband, Derrick Holland); his siblings Kevass Harding (wife, Teketa Harding), LaTwonda Tyree-Davis, Larry Dion Williams, Corey Glenn, Tina Glenn, and Rochelle Glenn; his nieces and nephews Teala Tyree, Tiara Tyree, J. Miles Davis, Makayla Harding, Carnez Williams and great nephew Aubrey Norris; his daughter Jada Glenn; his uncle Jerry Littleton, his aunt Darlene Groves, and a host of cousins and friends. Thank you to our friends, family and community for your support.
