



Obituary of Larry Eugene Sherman
Larry Eugene Sherman, a beacon of warmth and laughter, departed this world on January 18, 2025. Larry Eugene Sherman was born November 18, 1953, in Dallas, Texas to J.C Sherman and Lillie Mae Timmons Sherman. Larry was the middle child of five siblings, J.C. Sherman Jr, James E. Sherman, Michael D. Sherman, Mary P. Sherman-Martin and Rochelle L. Sherman.
Larry graced our lives with an exuberance that was both infectious and comforting. A true embodiment of kindness, he stood out in a crowd not just for his towering presence but for his ever-present smile that could light up the darkest days.
Larry had a remarkable gift for humor, infusing joy into every interaction. He was the type of person who could lift spirits with a hearty laugh. He is known for his caring and helpful nature. He approached life with a profound sense of compassion and dedication, always ready to extend a hand or offer a listening ear. He was passionate about spreading the word of Jesus Christ as well as about teaching others how to lean and depend on God.
Larry attended Dallas Public Schools. He also worked at the Bakers Hotel in Dallas for a period of time.
At an early age, he united with Ezell Chapel C.M.E. Church, under the leadership of Reverend M.S. James. Before his health deteriorated, he was baptized at Marsalis Avenue Church Of Christ.
Larry is preceded in death by his parents, J.C. Sherman and Lillie Mae Timmons-Sherman; his grandmother, Mary C. Timmons; 2 brothers, J.C Sherman Jr. and Michael D. Sherman and his sister, Rochelle L. Sherman

Sherman-Martin (Sister) of Hutchins, Tx., James E. Sherman (Brother) niece, Deborah Bloomer (Christopher) of Hutchins, Tx., 2 nephews, Billy R. Johnson Jr. of Duncanville, Tx and Samuel R. Johnson (Kellie) of Colorado Springs, Co., Michael B. William (Cousin), Don R. Williams (Cousin), Kimberly R. Williams (Cousin), special friend - Carolyn Puyd and a host of family & friends.
In a world that often felt overwhelming, Larry was a steady source of strength and joy, proving daily that life is best filled when serving God and being filled with love and laughter.
