Nellie Johnson Kyle was born November 4, 1932, to the union of Daniel and Sequilla Johnson. She attended Lincoln High School and furthered her education at Prairie View A&M, where she remained dedicated and active with the alumni association until she took ill. She was a member of St. Anthony Catholic Church.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Daniel and Sequilla Johnson; two brothers, Daniel Webster and Fred Shepard Johnson.
Nellie leaves to cherish her memories: one son, Robert Edward Hurd III; two granddaughters, LaKesia St. Lucie (Janah) and Robin Edwina Hurd; two adopted grandchildren, Krystle and Daylon Johnson; special niece, Debra Edwards (Alfred); and a host of nieces, nephews, family, and friends.
