The staff at Billy Dade Middle School would like to send our condolences to the family of Mark Wheeler, he was always upbeat and kind, he always had advice for us when we asked him for it and even when we didn't, he never wanted to see us with our heads hanging down, he would say "Don't let them see you sweat." He never entered or exited the kitchen without speaking, and he never left without saying have a good day, see you later. He touched our lives and we will miss his smile. Rest with the angels.

It is with great sorrow that we part with our brother, Mark Anthony Wheeler Sr. on this side of Jordan, but oh what joy when we meet on the other side. When we reach that blessed homeland, where there's everlasting day; on that bright and blessed morning, God shall wipe all tears away. Always bear in mind that spirit was never born and spirit can never die. Remember that God gives grace for each trial, and courage for each sorrow and faith to face in confidence a blessed, sweet, blissful and bright tomorrow. I had the pleasure of being one of Mark's teachers at Wilmer-Hutchins High School. Mark was a very innovative and cooperative young man, whom I had a great deal of respect and love for. He will be missed by his fellow classmates, family and the community. To the Wheeler Family, We are so sorry to hear of Mark’s death and we want to express our most sincere sympathies to you and the family during this difficult time from the Food Service team here at Dallas ISD Food and Child Nutrition Service Department. Mr. wheeler was a highly valued and respected member of our team and the effects of his passing are already being felt by his co-workers and management. Mark was a wonderful employee who understood the meaning of the word "team”. He was always more focused on the good of the department than on his own benefit. He made many great contributions to the department and helped it move forward in numerous ways. His work will not soon be forgotten. Please accept our sincere condolences for the family. Mark was a remarkable man and everyone at Maria Luna Food Service Facility is better for having known him. For those of us that had the privilege of calling him "friend" outside of work, we were humbled by his kindness and compassion to everyone around him.
