Obituary of Archie Woulard
Archie L. Woulard, better known as Honey, was born July 19, 1953, to the parentage of Betsy and Ras Woulard Sr. in Gulfport, Mississippi. He received his formal education in the Gulfport Public Schools. In 1970, Archie along with his family moved to Dallas, Texas, where he graduated from South Oak Cliff High School. He met and married his Queen of 40 years, B. Joy “Cookie” Woulard, and to this union three children were born.
Archie worked as an independent contractor for Dennis Topletz, and the business relationship grew and developed into a friendship of over 30 years. Archie was loved by neighbors, friends, customers, and clients. He gave us many hours of laughter with his gift of storytelling. He was always willing to help everyone; his kindness will be greatly missed.
He passed away July 11, 2016. He was preceded in death by his son, James Dominic Norman; parents; brother, Ray Gerald Woulard; and sister, Edna Yvonne Ferguson. Archie leaves a loving legacy and cherished memories with his beloved wife of 40 years, B. Joy Norman Woulard; son, Jarvis DeLeon Woulard (Breannah); daughter, JerDevi DeShena Woulard; grandchildren, James Dominic Jr., Jada and Jaxon; siblings Ras Woulard Jr. (Marzella), Willie Lee Woulard (Nancy) and Rosa Mary Todd (James); and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
