Obituary of Charlie Lee Chatman

The life of Charlie Lee Chatman began on March 9, 1939 in Homer, Louisiana to the parentage of the late Tribbie Chatman. He attended the public schools of Homer, Louisiana.
Charlie accepted Christ as his personal savior and was baptized in his early 20’s at the Mount Elam Baptist Church in Dallas, Texas.
He was employed at Connell Construction Company where he retired after 40 plus years of service. He united in Holy matrimony to the love of his life the former Mary Louise Webb. Charlie grew up in a loving home.
He peacefully drifted into eternal rest on the morning of December 11, 2019. He is preceded in death by his sister, Ella Washington. His favorite saying ‘Hey Boy’ to all women and ‘How you girls during’ to all the men. Charlie had a way with words. To know him was to love him.
Those left to cherish his sweet memories: his loving wife of 60 years, Mary Louise Chatman, daughter, Denise Peoples, son, Charlie Ed Chatman, grandsons, Jemaine Hawkins and Charlie Ed Chatman Jr., granddaughter, Sawanna Chatman, eight great grandchildren, sister , Ella Webb (Calvin), brother Will Chatman (Joetta) all of Dallas, Texas. 3 special children, Gloria Mims, Billy Bass Jr. and Pricilla Ray. A host of nieces, nephews other relatives and friends.
