Obituary of Eurtis E Hunt

Eurtis Eugene Hunt was born on July 18, 1941, to the union of Eara Smith Austen and Tommy Hunt. He is preceded in death by his mother, father, his sister, and two brothers. Eurtis took his wings on Saturday, October 6, 2018. Eurtis received his high school diploma from Booker T. Washington High School in 1963. In 1994, he united in Holy Matrimony with Katherine Powell, and to their union they added two sons and four daughters. Before Eurtis took his wings, he was a longtime member of A Home for All Outcast Church in Dallas, Texas, under the leadership of Apostle Mattie Bradford. Eurtis loved God and God’s people; nothing that was asked of him was not met with joy and completion. Eurtis labored as a roofer and contractor, and whatever he found his hands to do. Eurtis leaves to cherish his memory: his wife, Katherine; children, Eurtis Jr., Larry, Denetra, Dawn, Michelle, and Ronda; grandchildren and great-grandchildren; brother, Lynn Hunt; and a host of other relatives and friends.
