Obituary of Sadie Tate Sadie Marie Tate was born in Dallas, Texas on February 21, 1935 to Ed and Emma Holland. She received her formal education in Dallas and was a graduate of St. Peter’s Academy and attended Texas Southern University, Houston, Texas. She was married to Elihue Lee and Henry Tate. To these unions, two sons were born Richard Kevin Lee and Paul Stephen Tate. She is preceded in death by her parents. Sadie passed away May 18, 2016. In addition to her two sons, she is survived by her daughter-in- law and grandson, Tammy and Corey Paul, her siblings, Willie E. Perkins Jr. of Hot Springs, Arkansas, Lawrence Perkins of West Memphis, Arkansas, Charles Perkins of Pine Bluff, Arkansas, Ruby Hairston of Pine Bluff, Arkansas, Jean Stephenson of Riverside, California and Vicki Smith of Dallas, Texas and her forever childhood friend, Betty Stanlett, a host of other relatives and friends.
