Obituary of Linda Joyce Miller

Obituary of Linda Miller -Obituary- Linda Joyce (Hewitt) Miller was born in Longview, Texas on June 2, 1959 to Howard Brown and Rosie Hewitt who both preceded her in death. She graduated on May 28, 1977 from L.G. Pinkston High School. She continued her education at El Centro College, where she received her phlebotomist license. She initiated her career in the medical field at St. Paul Hospital where she served for over a decade. Then, she committed 25 years of service at Texas Presbyterian Dallas, where she is currently employed. On September 20, 1986, Linda married Harvey B. Miller, Sr. They welcomed blessed children, Derek Bernard and Aisha Shadae, into the world. She taught her children the true meaning of values, morals, and selflessness. Linda and Harvey celebrated 29 years of marriage. Mrs. Miller was known for her love of family and friends, her kind and generous heart, and her joyful spirit. She accepted Christ at an early age, and she demonstrated her passion for Christ through choir and deaconess ministries at Oliver Hill Baptist Church and Greater Memorial Missionary Baptist Church. Her membership currently resides with Cornerstone Church of Dallas, Texas. Mrs. Miller is survived by husband, Harvey B. Miller, Sr.; children, Pastor Harvey B. Miller, Jr. (Foronda), Derek Miller (Alexis), and Aisha Miller; four brothers, David Hewitt, Thomas Hewitt (deceased), Darrell Hewitt, Kenneth Hewitt (Daisy); one sister, Mattie Hastings (Larry); grandchildren, Harvey B. Miller III and Naomi Miller; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, friends, and extended family.
