Obituary of Bernie Jackson
Bernie Jackson was born on May 17, 1941, in Navarro County, Texas to the late Bernice and Minnie Jackson. he was the first of five children.
After graduating from George Washington Carver in Ennis, Tx. Bernie moved to Dallas, TX were he met and married the love of his life Margaret Ashley.
Bernie and his family joined New Jerusalem Institutional Baptist Church where he served faithfully in many areas in the life of the church. He was a Trustee, Usher President, Brotherhood President , Minster of Finance, Deacon and until the Lord called him home a faithful Chairman of the Deacon Board
Bernie Jackson departed this life to abide with his Heavenly Father on Saturday, January 16, 2016, at his home, surrounded by his family. He has one sister Johnnie Faye who preceded him in death along with his parents and Aunt Lola.
He leaves to cherish his sweet memories, his devoted and loving wife Margaret Jackson, one son, Rodney Jackson; (Bridgette), Two daughters Angela Jones, Yolanda Culpepper (Roy) . One sister, Darlene Jackson; 2 brothers, , Roy Jackson (Gail) , and Rickey Jackson; 10 Grandchildren, Dominque, James Jr., Rodney Jr., Tamika, Ryeshia, Darius, Selah, Toddrick, Tracy and Chasity. 5 Great grandchildren, a host of nieces and nephews, friends and relatives.
