Obituary of Martin Luther Terrell

Martin Luther Terrell was born on January 29, 1964 in Hawkins, Texas to his proud parents Jeff Terrell, Sr. and Ruth Houston Terrell Young. He was raised in primarily in Tyler, Texas and in Houston, Texas. As a teen, he accepted Christ as his Lord and Savior at the North Tennehah Church of Christ in Tyler, Texas and, after moving to Houston in 1977, he attended South Union Church of Christ in Houston.
He attended Jack Yates High School in Houston. After graduating high school in Tyler Texas, he attended Texcel Career Center in Houston, Texas and completed his certification in Word Processing in 1987. In 2007, Martin received an Associate of Arts degree from Trinity Valley Community College and a Master in Theogoy degree, Magna Cum Laude, from Shalom Bible College and Seminary in Wes Des Moines, Iowa.
While in Houston, Martin and Adrian Wright had one son together, Clifford Wright. His later marriage to Myrteal Terrell produced no children before its dissolution. Martin worked for several years at a window framing company and had a landscaping business for a time before his last illness. He enjoyed teaching bible school at various Christian communities in the places he lived over the years and spending time with his son and grandchildren when in Houston.
Martin’s parents and older brother, Jeff, preceded him in passing, but he is survived by his only son Clifford Wright, his five grandchildren Machki Chambers, Natavia Wright, Jackie Wright, Adrian Wright and Ace Wright, his younger brother, Wesley, a host of other cousins and close family members and his special companion, Roxanne Randall, who was his comfort in his last years.
Martin Terrell left his earth in early hours of September 17, 2018 and went on to be re-united with the loved ones who preceded him and with the Lord his Savior.
