Obituary of Violet Jeanne Coleman

Obituary of Violet Coleman Violet Jeanne Coleman, AGE, of Dallas, Texas, died December 16, 2016. She was born August 15, 1946, to the parentage of L.D. and Viola (Hickman) Coleman. She accepted Christ at an early age under the late Pastor S. G. Booker, Sr. and was a lifelong member of the Pilgrim Rest Baptist Church. She served in the Sunday Light Choirs I and II (teenagers later changed to youth choir), Junior Ushers, original member of the G. B. Prime Choir (Changed to Gordon-Prime Choir), Sanctuary Mass Choir and the CWN Women’s Chorus. Violet received her education through the DISD schools: J. W. Ray Elementary, B. F. Darrell Elementary and she graduated from the Booker T. Washington Technical High School. In high school, she was a member of the Ambassadors Concert Choir, Cheering Brigadiers girls drill team, Auditorium Ushers and National Honor Society. She was employed by Neiman Marcus on the Mail Order Division for 34 years until her retirement in 2003. She leaves to cherish her memories her son, Darryl L. Coleman (Peggi); grandsons, Jordaan B. and Jaalen J.; sister, Lena Mae (Sandy) Boyd; nieces, Cassandra Cooper, Ashley Boyd, Brittany Cooper, Alandria Baccus, Heru Clar, Brandy (Erick) Besley; nephews, LaDarryl Boyd, Patrick Weatherall, Jayden; uncle, Elder Tommie A. (Linda) Coleman; aunts, Hunnie Coleman, E. Gipson; extended family, cousins and friends.
