Obituary of Juanita Hoover Benjamin

Juanita A. Hoover Benjamin was born on February 5, 1934 to the parentage of the late Edward and Earline Hoover in Dallas, TX. She passed away on December 31, 2019 in the comfort of her own home. Juanita graduated from Lincoln High School in 1951. Juanita was a faithful member of the Washington Lincoln Alumni Association where she served on the Registration Committee as well as other rolls for the association. She also attended Texas Southern University, El Centro Jr. College, and Bishop College. Juanita worked for Texas Instruments for 30 years before she retired in 1991. At a young age, Juanita attended St. Paul United Methodist before becoming a member of Warren United Methodist Church. While at Warren, she was a member of the Willing Workers and The Food Pantry. Juanita married Bobby Lee Benjamin on February 24, 1967. They were married until his death on March 12, 2009. She was preceded in death by her husband, Bobby, her parents, Edward and Earline Hoover, and her brothers and sisters, Edward Hoover, Jr., Lorraine Hoover, Gussie McDonald, Delores Love, and Julia Viney. Juanita is survived by her siblings, Carmena Adams, Henry Hoover, Earline Powell (Marvin), and Earl Hoover. Her daughters, Ronelda Boston, Valetia Hoover (Bobby), Dianne Duncan (Dwinn); grandchildren, Donte Hoover, Sr. (LaTorian), Vernon Hoover, Deanna Reed, Addriena Duncan, Justin Johnson; great-grandchildren, Doniesha, Donte Jr., Derrick Jr., De’Korian, Kee’Ijana, D’Kyri, Daniel and a host of other
